Kaiser was abandoned at Lenawee Humane Society the morning of April 3rd, 2014, only a day after Suri. We could tell right away that this poor soul had lived most, if not all, of his six years outside. We learned that he had previously lived in a small, overgrown outdoor shelter and our heart broke for him. Alone and neglected, Kaiser had never experienced life the way a dog is supposed to.
Upon arrival, this emaciated dog was very scared and tentative around humans, but would quietly wag his tail and give brief kisses when he grew more comfortable. As weeks passed and his figure filled out, Kaiser began to perk up. He looked forward to his frequent interactions with staff and volunteers as he learned that people meant food, and food was Heaven.
Kaiser has survived the worst part of his life and is looking forward to a better, brighter future. He is still searching for his forever home. If interested in providing the love and stability Kaiser is looking for, please click here to submit an adoption application.
